10 & 11 Months

Wow, are we really approaching Nina's 1st birthday?!?!?! Yes, we are! The past year has gone waaaaay too fast. There have been so many changes, but they are wonderful and the last two months have held some of the biggest changes for us! Here a little recap of our last two crazy months:

Fun Updates:

• Nina got to meet her two cousins from Virginia and her Aunt Denise and Uncle Mike. 
• We celebrated our first 4th of July. It was a hot one, but we made it to the parade followed by a yummy lunch at great grandma Betty's (yes, Nina even got to eat some of the 4th of July treats...hot dogs and jello), and a visit with Nate's college buddy, Mike, who was back from Australia. After all this excitement, Nina totally passed out for the night.....so we did not make it to the fireworks, which was probably fine. Nina isn' the best with loud noises. 
• The weekend after the 4th was a big one for our family! Aunt Caitlin and Uncle David had a beautiful wedding, even in all the hotness! Nina got to spend a couple nights with Grandpa and Gigi and her great grandparents. She did make an appearance at the reception, in head to tow pink of course! Mommy and Daddy were both in the wedding and couldn't be happier for the newlyweds. It was a fun filled family weekend. 
• We bought and moved into our first home! Nina is loving being a Waunakee resident. Of course the queen bee got her room painted before anything else was done. Surprise, surprise...it's pink.
• Mommy has gone back to work part time. A few nights a week and every other Saturday, Nina will get quality time with Daddy while mommy is back at Hot Mama! (She's learning already.....the first night, she waited till mommy was gone to do a big, nice, poopy diaper...haha!)

Nina's Milestones:

This one feels so hard to re-cap, she's grown and changed so much!! She's turning into such a fun little girl, now! I'll try though....

• She's a very proficient crawler and is getting into EVERYTHING! Her favorite things to do are to pull out ALL of her toys, to try to escape to the bathroom or guest room, and to get into Dexter's toys. 
• She's pulling herself up easily and taking little steps every once in awhile. I've seen her try to stand on her own, so I'm guessing walking is not far off....eek!
• She LOVES all things Elmo. Every night she gets to watch a couple of her Elmo videos off YouTube that daddy found for her. Some of her favs include: Elmo's Song, 1234, The ABCs with India Arie, and Elmo had 4 ducks. 
• She pretty much eats on her own and lets you know what is wants to eat and what she doesn't. She also loves to sneak treats to Dexter. 
• She gives "baby" hugs and kisses when you ask her. (Her kiss is a full on open mouth slobber kiss...it's the best!)
• She claps if you ask her to.
• She loves doing "SO BIG".
• She'll hand you things if you ask her to. 
• When we are doing the ABCs she loves to make the "T" sound.
• She says "done" all the time, even if she's not done.....
• She's super smily and loves to laugh....she'll crawl away from you and if you start laughing she will, too!
• She loves to help with laundry. 

I'm sure I'm missing some, but those are the major ones. I cannot believe that later this month she'll be ONE! We have been so blessed to have her in our lives and have been enjoying every moment. I'll post her birthday party pics and year old pics soon!
