Month 8

Month 8 Milestones

  • Starting to eat bits of table food with Mommy and Daddy at dinner.
  • Learning to use her sippy.
  • Beginning to crawl, we got the arms right, we've got the legs right, they just need to move together.
  • Rolls all round.
  • Talking to herself, toys and us all the time. She has started saying "Dada" regularly....we are waiting for "Mama".
  • Waves hello and good bye.
  • Knows the sign for "milk" and "more".
  • Has 4 teeth total now.
  • Loves books, her Sophie toys and anything musical.
  • Grabs and twists any hair she can get ahold of.
  • Loves to grab at noses.
  • Sits up with little support, starting to do it on her own.
  • Beginning to be more independent and knows what she wants. Fusses when she doesn't get it. She'll grab at the food on the spoon when you are feeding her.
  • Beginning to understand the word "no".
  • Loves "chasing" Dexter around with Daddy. Dexter does not love it as much.
  • Sits in her stroller like a big girl.....who needs a carseat?!?!
  • Grabs at things on the table faster than what you think she's going to (this means we get things spilled a lot!)
  • Loves to take naps in Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Easter

Another busy holiday under our belt. We had an awesome time celebrating with both of our families this weekend. Nina had her first visit from the Easter Bunny!! He brought her a swimsuit for this summer complete with matching shades, a wooden horse she can pull around, a pinwheel, bib, and new summer outfit. We dyed Easter eggs and fit in a trip to a petting zoo! Whew! A fun filled first Easter.

MN Trip

So I have no pictures to show for this trip, but we did have an amazing time back in MN! We stayed with Brandon, who was an awesome host. We arrived on Friday night and cooked out with Brandon, Tara, Zach and Betty.

The next day Nina and I had a girls day after a yummy breakfast made by the one and only Mr. Brandon Salcedo. We went out to lunch with Betty and Allison, then attended Krystal's baby shower. A fun day with lots of DZ ladies. The boys got to have a golfing day while Nina and I were out.

That night we met up with friends at The Urban Eatery. Nina had a late night, and did a very fashionable "costume" change into her jammies. The food and drinks were great and the company was even better.

The next morning we all met up again for an amazing brunch at the Good Times cafe. We loved seeing everyone and miss our MN friends every day! Good thing we can visit often!
