7 Month Milestones

I've been posting a lot already about what our family has been up to over the past few weeks, but I thought that now that Nina has hit 7 months, I'd write down her milestones we've hit.

  • Nina has two bottom teeth popped out that are very easy to see. She continues to be a drool machine, so we are expecting more to come!
  • She's a rolling pin. Nina easily rolls in all directions. She even flips in her crib and prefers her tummy for sleeping.
  • Her movements are becoming a lot more controlled. She picks things up and turns her head when you are talking to her.
  • She's no longer camera shy. She'll smile away if you say her name and snap some pics of her.
  • Her hair is coming in more thick. She was born with a full head and lost it all, she had a little mohawk action goin' on, but now it's thicken out everywhere.
  • She super smiley and happy, so much fun to watch!
  • She's beginning to scoot. Not to the point of crawling yet, but at story time last week she did a great big push and even surprised herself!
  • She eats in a highchair like a big girl.
  • She leans in for hugs and "kisses"

As a special treat some mornings, Nina gets to crawl in bed with Mommy. Here we are both totally passed out.

7 Months exactly

Cabin Weekend

The past weekend was jam packed for our family! Not only did Nina turn 7 months old....Nate and I had a date night, we hit up our first rummage sale of the summer AND we took a quick trip up to our cabin. Whew!

After a late start (I got a little caught up at the sale), our family and Caitlin, David and Jayden packed up and started off for our family cabin in Antigo. It was a pretty smooth ride up with no problems at all. Once we arrived, we unpacked a bit and Caitlin and I were off to get our main mission of the trip accomplished.

Caitlin had heard of a bridal shop in Antigo that sells samples dresses for a steal! It was an amazing shop! Within an hour we had found plenty of options for her that were beautiful. We walked out with the winner and the mission of the trip was successful.

While we were in dress shopping the boys had the kids and took them on a hike and started a fire. When we got back we made some pudgy pies and talked until dinner time. We made some delish spaghetti for dinner and went back out by the fire to make some s'mores. It was Jayden first s'more. His favorite part was the chocolate :).

The next morning we got up, went on another short hike, played around on the 4 wheeler, made lunch over the fire and packed up and were off again.

It was a quick, but fun trip!!
